Now that we can edit the artwork directly in the app, a few issues have become noticeable. Some are actual bugs (trying to scroll horizontally is a nightmare) but the main issue I’d like to highlight is more of a design limitation than a bug.
Recently, the option to choose separate backgrounds for large screens and mobile devices was added. However, the selection of mobile backgrounds is extremely limited, as it only includes 1:1 images.
Why can’t we use the existing default background images for mobile as well? If they need to be displayed in a square format, simply crop them in the center when generating the preview. This would provide much more variety without requiring an entirely separate set of images to be manually fed
The current approach feels unnecessarily restrictive and results in a much smaller selection of backgrounds for mobile users.
