you should probably make a sticky or something for device suggestions
My suggestion: Dreamboxes. The Dreambox series is widely used since it is running a Linux OS that allows certain… features
Having Plex DVR working with Dreamboxes (or Enigma 2 recievers in general) or supporting an Enigma Plugin to work with DVR… that would be heeeelllaa awesome
How about support for people who already have the HD Home Runs, like the HDHR3-US? It records raw MPEG2 TS. I use mythtv for recording from these and copy them directly into plex. Would be nice to do it right from plex without needing to purchase newer versions.
Definitely would have to agree with this support for Enigma 2 based receivers would be the best thing that happened with plex dvr. I am sure if someone from the development team reached out to the guys at www.openpli.org they would be able to help.
Plex DVR was a stretch goal from a SD kickstarter since over $250k was raised SD started working with Plex. That is why today it is only the current SD products are supported by Plex. So unless other tuners company’s are going to pony up some money…SD will the only tuner supported for a while.
Another one of this! It’s all open source, all the streams work over the network. It would be awesome to use Plex instead as Enigma2 GUI’s are godawful to say the least, it’s like using something from 2001.
