I’d like the mouse’s back button to work in Plex Media Player similarly to how it does in the web interface.
Same with Alt + Left arrow! I keep trying to use it like I would on the web.
+1 on this Its just natural to use the back button on the mouse and when it doesn’t work it slows down productivity and enjoyment. Otherwise best service/app out there!
I would be really happy to see this either as a keyboard shortcut or mapped to mouse 4
Both the back and forward nav buttons should work in plexamp. This is a silly oversight. I seriously do not get plex sometimes. They do some things that are cool, but drop the ball on such obvious things like this. smh
I support this feature strongly for PlexAmp and have made a separate post before I saw that I could vote on this post – Plexamp for windows desktop - mouse back button support? - Plex Labs - Plex Forum
Just wanted to add that I switched to Linux this year, and the Plexamp flatpak actually works with the mouse nav buttons.
Agreed - I’ve been trying out Roon and while it’s missing features that Plex(amp) has, one thing I love is the ability to use mouse forward/back buttons.
Just replying in here to note: I just switched to Garuda linux on my desktop PC and Plexamp 4.12.1-1 from the AUR definitely works with my mouse-back side button now. It’s brilliant. I can go into an album, pick a track, then “back” out of that album and keep scrolling my album list, all without needing to maneuver to the button in the UI to go back to the previous screen. God how I missed this. Thank you for mentioning your linux switch.
