i just noticed this app has no mouse support and thought id post my feedback here… i think you guys should implement this ASAP some of us use low powered plex servers so being able to use an app hardware decode media like the PMP does would be a great thing to have while at the HTPC using a logitec k830 seems like such a simple request… the menu’s already work with mouse support … plex web hammers the hardware having to transcode alot of stuff.
Bump because PMP still does not let you drag the seek bar with a mouse.

We appreciate the feedback. But it seems like you are expecting a desktop app when we are focusing on a HTPC app that is used from the couch with a remote. That’s our main focus.
Plex Media Player IS our only app option on the desktop, why is this so confusing to you?

At some point Plex thought about what they wanted their app to do, and made a design decision. There is nothing confusing about that. @tobiashieta stated quite clearly that PMP is not designed to be a full-fledged desktop app; it’s a HTPC frontend intended to be operated by a remote.
If I want a four wheel drive car, I don’t buy a two wheel drive car and then complain to the manufacturer that it’s not 4wd. Now if I want to convince the manufacturer that all cars should be 4wd, that’s another story…
In this case Plex has made it clear that full desktop support is not PMP’s focus. Quoting the nearly two year old post of a developer who is no longer leading the PMP team and then questioning his intelligence is certainly not the best way to elicit a meaningful response. I don’t believe Plex is at all interested in changing mouse support for PMP because it’s simply not the intended use for the app. If that’s what you need you are better off using the web interface or finding a different client altogether.
I can understand the desire to focus on remote support but recent updates have made keyboard/mouse impossible to navigate. Some screens have arrows to click for navigation while most don’t. And none have back buttons.
This app is the only option for PC users who are connected to TVs. I am extremely disappointed in this extreme negligence considering I just bought plex pass and then these crippling updates come out.
Mouse/keyboard UX is not that hard. And to echo other users, this app is for PCs which primarily use keyboards and mice.
I would also like to add that most to all HTPCs have some form of mouse input attached where the options for remotes on windows based HTPCs is extremely lacking. After 30 minutes of research I still do not have an affordable solution that for sure will work. This effectively makes this app useless. So why is the primary focus to support a use case that is ultimately poorly supported to begin with.
