I am setting up a QNAP NAS and need to transfer both my PMS and all of my media from a WD Mycloud NAS. Does anyone know how I go about that. I assume I can set up a new PMS on the QNAP but how do I also move the media without losing the libraries and the posters etc? I have spent a long tome organising the libraries and don’t want to have to start again.
The PMS is currently running on my MAC computer with the media on the WD Drive, aim is to put both on the QNAP NAS

It is generally possible to move between different operating systems, but that’s much more complicated and requires mapping the additional server settings from how they’re stored in one operating system to the other (e.g. mapping Windows registry values to the OS X
plistfile). That is not officially supported and not covered here.
You could try to translate the settings from ~/Library/Preferences/com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist to the respective preferences.xml on your QNAP.
However I suppose it might indeed be easier to start the new PMS from scratch (manually re-building the libraries) and only transfer the view states / ratings
