Movie database with release version information, like Musicbrainz?

So Musicbrainz, Discogs, and AllMusic maintain lists of the various releases of music albums (formats, re-releases, remasters, etc.). The online movie/TV databases don’t do this for movies, or if they do I can’t find it.

For instance, I’m participating in a thread where someone has a version of the movie Casablanca that is on a double-sided DVD, and I’d like to find specifics about that exact release.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

I’m not aware of anything that matches the music services in terms of consistency/quality.

IMDB has an “Alternate Versions” link for movies with multiple versions. It’s frequently more of a narrative than a table.

IMDB also usually shows the duration for each common cut on the “technical specs” page.

On TMDB there’s Overview → Alternative Titles and Overview → Release Dates, but again those doesn’t contain anywhere near the same details as the music services.

So I’m also curious, if anybody knows better sources.

Maybe it’s the super-special 1/4 speed edition of Casablanca.

As far as Release Info - TMDB and Plex will drop the ball when Plex picks 1943 (TMDB Agent):

There aren’t any ‘Versions’ of Casablanca - apart from ‘Carrotblanca’ by Bugs - that I know of and if there are - I need to know about it…lol

There are two versions of The Big Sleep (1946) - both coveted - A ‘Pre-Release’ in 1945 and the ‘Theatrical’ after Hawks spiced up the patter in the night club scene… and lost a few minutes elsewhere because of it. I do seem to recall both of those versions lived on one DVD - so I’m real curious about this Casablanca thing - I’ve not seen the 2-sided DVD.

This just in:

There are some Home Media releases that could easily contain another version, but without seeing the rip - there’s no telling what’s there. I don’t think there is another ‘Cut’ of the movie. Aspect Ratio - perhaps.

If VLC is ‘installed’ - put the disc in, right click on the drive and ask VLC to play the disc - the menu will tell ya what’s on it… right?
