Movie editions naming with versions

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200

I need some clarification on the content here - https://support.plex.tv/articles/multiple-editions/

I want to do editions for movies, but also keep them in a single folder but but I also have optimized versions enabled.

Would I be able to put them all in the same folder?

For instance Star Wars

/Media
  /Movies
    /Star Wars (1977) {imdb-tt0076759}
        Star Wars (1977) {imdb-tt0076759} [Remux-2160p][TrueHD Atmos 7.1][HEVC].mkv
        Star Wars (1977) {edition-Project 4K77} {imdb-tt0076759} [Remux-2160p][DTS-HA MA 7.1][HEVC].mkv
        /Plex Versions
          /Optimized for TV
            Star Wars (1977).mp4
            Star Wars (1977) {edition-Project 4K77}.mp4

Is that a valid naming/organization scheme for Plex and would optimized versions be created properly?

Or do I need to put each edition into its own folder for optimized versions to be created properly.

Editions are treated as separate movies. They should be in separate folders.

Okay gotcha, I was getting confused by this example in the KB article

/Media
   /Movies
      Blade Runner (1982) {edition-Director's Cut}.mp4
      Blade Runner (1982) {edition-Final Cut}.mp4

I guess that only works if the library is completely flat with no separate folders for each movie.

correct
