Need some help, so my hard drive crashed, i was able to run a recovery and get all the files back (which was great) but only problem it recovered them as filename1 filename2 filename300 etc so now i dont know the names of the movies, is there any form of software out there that can scan video files and identify them?
Anime yes, anidb.net keep a checksum of each release, md5 from memory
RapidCRC would allow to calculate quickly CRCs for files
Some providers like EZTV have hash info for releases on their official website
Best bet is a better recovery software to recover the filenames (I use R-studio personally)
In some cases downloading them again might be quicker
if you can view them and rename properly why not but they need to be worth it quality wise…
thanks, ya the problem is its like 500-600 files so re-downloading and re-watching is going to be a pain in the ■■■■ lol
