So I created my movie library by creating folders with the name of the movie genre, then I dragged and dropped all of the movies into the correct folders. This has worked pretty well for the most part. I then read about how people create folders for each movie within the movie genre folder.
Is this the better way to do what I am trying to do?
According to the Help page, putting movies into their own files can improve the speed of scanning. It also helps if you have additional related files like extras, trailers.
A fairly recent addition that can improve the accuracy of matching is the ability to include the IMDB tt number in the folder and filename.
