I am windows user with my media library on a drive physically installed in the same computer hosting Plex. Same issue and has been for a long time. I was considering just switching to another hosting service and I decided to research the issue first. This is a Plex issue that is resolved by changing the trash setttings (hopefully). Not here to post logs just here to add data to the dataset. This is obviously ignored by Plex and Ill be switching once I find something good. Just wanted to let everyone know not to waste their time holding their breath and confirm that the trash solution works for other OS’s.

The original thread is for MacOS systems having problems accessing SMB servers. Your system is running Windows with a direct attached drive.
If you would like assistance, please do the following:

Ensure your system is configured for debug, not verbose, level logging.
Settings → server_name → General + Show Advanced

In Settings → Library, enable Scan My Libraries Automatically.
This adds additional detail to the log files. -
Stop Plex Media Server. Wait 1 minute.
Start Plex Media Server. Wait 2 - 3 minutes for Plex to fully start.
This bumps the log files and captures the server startup sequence. -
Scan one of the libraries that exhibits the problem.

When scanning is finished, pull the log files in Settings → Troubleshooting, and upload the entire ZIP file to the thread. You can drag it into the message window. It will insert at the cursor location.
Agreed! All of my media libraries disappeared like I never even set them up.
