why is plex displaying the movie listings into a single file? and how can we turn this off?

It’s ot a bug - this is the new “Collections” feature. You can see they have the number of movies written below them in small script.
As how to turn this off - go into the setting of your movies library, to the advanced tab and select “disable” under collections.
