Movie on iPhone app starts over when coming home

Server Version#: 1.41.7.9823 on QNAP NAS
Player Version#:2025.17.0 (1082)
I play a video clip in the iPhone app that I have downloaded to my device and I am away from home. When I get home (i.e. when my phone connects to my home Wifi where the Plex server is) it will restart the clip.

Lets say I have a 30 minute video and I start to watch the video when I am not home. I get to my home 10 minutes into the video and then suddenly the video starts from 0 again.
It doesn’t always restart from 0, it will restart from where I previously resumed the video.
Example: I watch the video and then stop watching at the timestamp 5:30. Then I resume watching the video and let it play for a couple of minutes and then get home. When I get home it will restart from timestamp 5:30.

This bug is a big annoyance to me. Please make it so that it doesn’t restart the playback or as an alternative the app should save the current timestamp more often so it doesn’t jump back to the start when I get home and maybe at most jump back 10 seconds or so.

I have a similar issue except when using my iPhone to watch videos, if I move from a wifi signal to a cellular data signal, the connection interrupts, stops the video, I receive a warning that the connection to the server cannot be established and then it restarts the video from the last known segment before I started watching again.

This never happened to me until plex mandated plex pass for cellular data and remote connections.

bump this happens to me too when it connects to a wifi network. The video just restarts.

Are y’all on 2025.18 or 2025.19 ?

I need help for this issue.

People are reverting ios app back to version 10.26

Ever since that update, network changes cause playback progress to revert to before the current session or completely restart the playing media file.
