I have some movies on two HDDs but I usually only have one connected, depending on what other content I need.
The problem is, that if a movie has two files with the same name, and one on the list is not available, the whole movie can’t be played:
How can I fix this and tell Plex that one of these files is enough to play the movie?

Use “Play Version” under the ellipsis ⋯ to play the available version.
Or stop incorporating drives into your library which are not available 24/7.
Ahh thanks for this hint! Still it’s a bit unintuitive to show something as unavailable when one of many “mirrors” is down…
Remember that sadly not everyone has or can afford the hardware to do so : (
