I have a 8tb hd and am upgrading to a 16tb unit as the 8 is filling up fast. When I upload a movie to Plex I either change the standard poster or find one on the web I like. My question is as I go to the 16tb how can I do so where the posters will switch over also? Where would the new poster be stored? I have backed up the metadata if it’s there. Thanks in advance.
Posters are stored in metadata bundles with other metadata
I’m not really clear on which drive you are copying things to, of you made things not in default locations on your install, but just copy your entire Plex Media Server folder and make the new drive the same name (and same drive letter if you are on Windows) so the paths are the same and as far as PMS is concerned nothing changed.
