Does anyone know why the file sizes for the movies I have ripped vary so much? I have about 200 DVDs and ordered a 1 TB external hard drive, but now I am wondering if I should get 2 TB external hard drive instead.
I’m using TuneFab DVD Ripper by the way.
Without knowing exactly what settings you are using to rip/transcode the videos, it’s hard to say. But, assuming it is using constant rate factor (CRF), the file size will be as big as it has to be to ‘look good’.
