Movie Trailer Button nor Extras showing up

Is the android app signed into your account? If not, I can understand it not being there.
If it is signed in, can you give me a screenshot of what you’re seeing on the Android app? I will go ask.

The trailer button

is part of Plex/Web. It should always be there. It’s in the html page which gets sent from PMS.

Which browser? (I’m thinking browser cache getting mucked up)

100% sure I have never seen the trailer button there until I recently manually added one. I mainly use chrome, but tested in Edge and Firefox too. I have cleared cache on all 3 and still the same thing.

Android app is signed in, screenshots attached.

Backup please?

You manually added a button to Plex/web ?

Those buttons are written by WebClient.bundle and part of PMS core.

Please confirm you modified PMS?

Negative, sorry for the confusion. It wasn’t able to see a trailer button until I manually added a trailer to a movie folder. NO modification of the PMS.

Ok, did some reading up.

I don’t use Android but what does Settings - Experience - Cinema Trailers show?

Here is my log file. Trailer Addict agent still working, not Plex Media agent

Please answer my question regarding your setting in the player app ?

Ok. I thouht to erase and reinstall PMS on my Qnap to try to solve the problem. But before doing this, I installed another server but now on my Asus portable to see if it works. I did it and trailer and reviews features don’t work either. I think it is an agent problem, no matter where the server is installed or the cache because I started a new server on a new device. Don’t you think?

I think you should check the android player settings as I have instructed because PMS will not display trailers if they are turned off in the settings.
The server is working in the server because you’ve already stated it. Additionally, If they weren’t working, I would have errors in your log files.

It shows trailers and extras of Trailer Addict agent and don’t show trailers and rotten reviews from Plex Movie agent? How can it be possible?

It’s a PMS problem, not a player problem. I think. Player settings have been aleays the same, and 3 days ago everything went fine

another fact. I tried to load my own extras with Local Media assets agent and it works too. I can load my own trailers but trailers and reviews from Plex Media and Movie Database don’t load

I have tried and finally it works but only for one of 8 movies in one of my libraries

Yup, I refreshed metadata this morning and sure enough its working.

@ChuckPa thanks for doing whatever you did! (what was it?)

Also, to answer a question above, the “cinema trailers” always worked for me. It was the trailer for a selected movie that wasn’t working.

Congrats. I only got one movie right match today. After, no other trailer, reviews and extras for more movies

i have the same problem since the last update
til now i’ve worked around about 4 hours and i can’t get the plex movie agent to work again
i tried to disable and enable every single option in agents
i tried the 1.9.7.4441 beta
i tried to delete every custom add-on

before the update every movie looked like this

all new scanned movie look like this, no extras, no IMDB Rating, no Trailer

but only plex movie doesn’t work anymore
OFDB, Trailer Addict, OpenMovie Database, all of them work like a charm
but i have the best results with plex movie.
:frowning:

Yea. Just like me. It looks amazing when Plex Movie agent works fine. Unfortunetly it doesnt do it right now. Hope the next update will fix it

I think I’m going nuts
Today (without updates) it’s working at once?
@Plex Team
THX for fixing the bug

I’d still like to know what “fixed” it. @ChuckPA

I’ve not been able to get definitive answers which is why I didn’t respond yet.

There were metadata server updates deployed by the operations team. There are several such servers around the world.
If their update deployment was to correct a problem, your results make the most sense.
Again, I have nothing definitive and apologize for that.
