Hi Plex & Users,
I have been a movie collector for years and with the times have moved to leveraging Plex to enable me to scale my collection in a consumable format. Something I do manually through lists is identify additional media like movies, tv episodes, etc that are missing from my collection. I think it would be great for Plex to know the movies I have and allow me to know what is missing in the collection. An example could be if I own Die Hard 1 and Die Hard 2 but not Die Hard 3, Plex should flag that Die Hard 3 is missing and call that out to me in someway. This would be a fun way to know what I a am missing, access the list via Plex and plan for the next movie I will be hunting for. This can be used for TV shows to. Sometimes I am missing an TV episode and don’t know it. It would be great to have Plex inform me. Especially, if I record the TV show via Plex as reruns can be all over the place. The version two of this feature would tell me where I can get it online. Leverage a site like Yidio (https://www.yidio.com/) which would tell you where it is streaming right now.
I agree. It is just asking to display a negative when there is one. Logic: Do you have a movie in a collection. If yes. Are all the movies in the collection there according to movie database or other repository. If no, highlight this is missing so we can seek. To fill out the collection.
