Hello,
i got a very strange issue, i got some movies with duplicate that are empty and when i click delete on the empty file, it won’t work.
Moreover i can’t empty the trash for the movie Section (probably because of that ?)
Has anyone faced the same issue ? And/or know a fix ?
Same with plex_dupefinder, it cannot remove the duplicate.

so i decided to open up the DB in a sqlite browser, and it seems that the second file that is empty is linked to this : “iva://api.internetvideoarchive.com/2.0/DataService/VideoAssets(547099)”
If you click on that View XML link does it show that same iva URL?
is the /data/Movies the only folder set for that library?
hum yes i see the same iva, but it is the extra it seems. not the weird ghost file.
And yes /data/Movies is the only library.

Oh it seems i was looking into the metadata_items for the ID we see from “Media id=xx” when i need to look for this id in media_items
So i see the 2 id in the database, linked to the same movie, but for weird reason i can’t delete the ‘ghost one’ from plex.
in the database, both media_id points to the same file it seems as the resolution, codec, and time are the same.
i have currently 88 movies that are duplicates, and most of them with this issue. This is preventing me from cleaning up trash in this library, and perhaps, this is what is preventing the blob database to be backuped for like a year ?
The IVA URL is for extras. not the main movie

Possibly. I can’t think of how it got like that though. Would need to delete the rows that have no file associated directly in DB. Are you comfortable with SQLite to do that yourself?

yeah i got no clue how this happened.
Just confirm me, i need to remove the entry that has media id without associated file from the “media_item” table only ?
no other table use this as foreign key somewhere ?

Also i see that i can’t empty trash in my “TV Show” library too, but it doesn’t look like i have the same kind of issue.
For the movie library plex refuse to let me see it in folder view
i have done a database corruption repair procedure, following the KB given by plex on both db files, the blob one is now very small, hopefully it will backup next time.
But it hasn’t fixed anything else 
Can’t go further than that now.
