Long time running bug here. Probably has even been a thing since, ever?
Movies that have an {edition} tag (on the folder or file level, or both, or even if the edition is added via Plex only) don’t appear (as being present in library) on their cast member pages.
Blade Runner as an example
I have both movies. First one is the Final Cut.
- If I click on Harrison Ford, only the second movie is displayed, because the first one has the Final Cut edition tag and thus is not recognised.
- If I click on Rutger Hauer, no movie is shown as present in the library, and so this section is entirely replaced by Movies & Shows on Plex.
This is platform agnostic. It happens everywhere and can even lead to errors on third party players (Infuse for example).
Can we hope for a fix?
