I have deduced that every movie I own that has multiple versions (different qualities in resolution such as 480p & 1080p) and I try downloading the movie for a long flight it instantly fails. Is this a bug, and is there a way around this?

I had the problem of failing downloads when I had multiple versions a while back too. The thing that fixed it for me is making sure my files were named the way Plex expected. In my case, my movies didn’t include " (RELEASE YEAR)" after the name of the movie. If you put that in, you can put " (480)" or whatever you want after to differentiate the files. When I did that, my downloads started working without problems. Like vvhemelr, I’m not able to choose what version downloads though…
