Multipart episodes have incorrect duration on Samsung TV

Hi,

In some TV Series, I have episodes with 2 or + parts.
The parts are well detected by Plex but when I play them in Samsung TV, the duration displayed only takes into account the current part playing.

Example:
Para.Sempre.S01E007.Episodio 2021-11-16-part1.mp4 > 13 min 27 sec
Para.Sempre.S01E007.Episodio 2021-11-16-part2.mp4 > 37 min 01 sec
Total is 50 min 28 sec

  • Problem 1: When playing part1, I cannot fast forward after 13 min 27 sec …
  • Problem 2: When playing part2, I cannot go back before 13 min 28 sec …
  • Problem 3: At the end of part1, Plex considers the entire episode as viewed …

Can you please fix this issue?

Thanks!

Even though you might have found a bug here, I strongly suggest you join your media files, since Plex clearly state, that it’s only partial supported!

Ref: Naming and organizing your Movie files | Plex Support

And not tested, but did a quick Google search, and found: MP4Tools - Home

And side note…

It’s not as above, but S01E07

Thanks @dane22 for your answers.
Actually, until then, everything used to work very well!
Just trying to see if this bug can be fixed “quickly” and so I don’t have to merge files.

For the “S01E007” naming, actually, each season can have way more than 100 episodes (it’s what the portuguese people call “novela / telenovela”).
Few examples are Nazaré (SIC), Golpe de Sorte (SIC), Bem Me Quer (TVI), Festa é Festa (TVI), and some others more.
