Multiple connection issues

Hello,
I am not sure what category my issue falls under as I am having connection issues with 4 IOS devices and 2 Roku devices.

I have been running plex for many years now.
Up until last week I had 4 roku devices, 1 xbox app, 3 chromecasts (For IOS connection) all running perfectly for over 2 years on my LAN at home.
My OS Drive failed and I had to replace and redo my whole system from scratch. Once I had redone everything I installed PMS again, inserted my back up of metadata (28± gigs). All went flawlessly with the metadata loading on my newly installed PMS.
I connected 2 of my Roku devices without a single hitch (plex.tv/ link to enter 4 digits given). all works beautiful for those 2 devices.
Fast forward a week and I tried to link my 3 IOS devices, 1 xbox app, and 1 roku.
This is where things get weird… none of my IOS devices see the server. the xbox app does not see the server, and finally 1 roku does not see the server.

I am running newest PMS (as of 24-05-2019) the first 2 rokus are still working as expected and I can see them in my device list on PMS but for some reason the other devices I listed do not see the server.
I tried to sign out- sign back in as I did with the first 2 Roku devices that work and nothing… I uninstalled the roku app, xbox app and IOS app and reinstalled, I have gone through all settings to see if something was a miss but not that I can see.
I have had a VPN for years also and have never had an issue with it running simultaneously with PMS but decided to shut it down to see if that helps and it did not. I am really lost as to what the issue can be but it has been frustrating the crap out of me for the last few days.

I am running win 10 pro.
Been using plex for literally years with no issues other than typical stuff.
I have a library of over 19 terabytes and on the 2 roku’s that work ,all my content is there and we watch it with no issues.

Can someone shed a light on what I am missing please?

I do not have any answers but logs may help someone get an answer to you.
See the FAQ for how to get logs for the server and various devices.

Just as a quick thought or two though, on the iOS devices, can you see the server if you open Safari and go via the browser?
Have you tried manually configuring the iOS apps with the IP address of the server?

Thanks for responding,
I have logs for everything… what log in particular are you referring to?
As for the IOS devices… they do not see the server…or the 2 other rokus. 2 worked immediately and 2 rokus did not. they do not see the server.

Incidentally, I have many clients on one form or another of personal media server for their individual wants or needs.
I was at a client’s house on Sunday ,who spends her winters south. a few years ago I setup her up on plex. I go twice a year to prepare for her tech to leave and reinstall it when she gets back… I was having the same issues. Her IOS on all 3 devices did not see the PMS. I use PC ,IOS and ROKU based and have the issue… she uses Macos and IOS and she has the same issue.

Surely I cannot be alone with this issue…

Surely someone from plex can respond…

Surely there are alternatives to plex…

I am aware that I am a common denominator in this problem but if I am the problem I need to know what it is to rectify it

I do not know about the logs, hence the reason I posted to go read the FAQ to see how to post issues and how to get and post logs from various servers/devices.

As for your iOS device, you cannot even connect to the server in the Safari browser by going to :32400/web/index.html while conected to your home WiFi?

As for you being the only one with the issue, I do not see much about this on the boards.
I am running 4 servers (just added a 4th) - 1 MacMini, 2 Win10 machines, and 1 RaspberryPi. I use a mixture of AppleTV (tvOS), Rokus, Windows machines, 5 iOS devices (both iPads and iPhones), a FireTV, and 3 Android tablets. I do not have an issue with any of them connecting in my home. Remote can be a little flaky but locally I have never had an issue.

As for alternatives to Plex you look at Emby - which has it’s own issues but I also run and use, as do others here on these boards.

I would like to thank the myriad of people who got together to try and help solve this glitch…
That was a completely sarcastic remark…
I spent 4 hours going over all of the information I could find and found the solution that only took 3 minutes to fix…
I would like at this point to tell PLEX that they suck. You would have convinced me to buy the lifetime license for their services if they had lifted a finger to help.
If I had in fact paid the service would still have sucked I can only assume.

I will be looking for alternatives for my clients as I can’t trust PLEX to solve an issue when needed.

Sorry you’re frustrated… What was your 3 minute simple solution?

Having a similar issue with all iOS devices not finding the updated Mac OS
X PMS after rebuilding my system. iPad, iphone, Apple TV all not finding, but PMP and browser from iPhone and iPad work fine. Here’s the log… Apologies if it’s not the right data… Not sure how much to include so here’s a few pages. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!:
