Today I noticed that only the last episode is displayed in the library when creating TV show episodes with multiple episodes in a single file. For example, Alias - s04e01-02 - Authorized Personnel Only (1)_ Authorized Personnel Only (2).mp4 only displays the second episode. I have had this work recently, but today it won’t work whether I name it s04e01-02 or s04e01-e02. Is anybody else having this issue? Any idea how to get this to work again? Thanks.
That is the version of the Plex Web client, not Plex Media Server.
PMS version is listed in Settings → Server_Name → General (scroll down).
The problem you describe is a known issue in PMS 1.40.3.8555. Plex is aware of the issue and a bug report has been filed.
Yes! I also tried to report this through my Plex server, but can’t tell if it was submitted. I’m on Plex Server 1.40.3.8555 for Mac.
I had the same issue yesterday and today trying to add a single file of episodes S03e01-E02 of Defiance (but exiting multiple episode files were still ok)… My solve for now was to change Defiance to use The Movie Database (Aired) for Episode Ordering. This makes me believe that the fault is in the default library.
FYI, if you were using the report issue option in the menu for an item, that is meant for people who a sever is shared with to be able to let the server admin know there is an issue with specific media. That does generate an issue with Plex, that needs to be done through the forums.

Ah ha! I didn’t pick up on that. Thanks for the explanation. 
I can confirm this bug. Is it possible to downgrade the Plex Media Server version in the meantime while this is going to be fixed? Or could there be complications with potential migrations?
