Single File Multi-Episode Shows Not Listed Correctly

Server Version#: Version 1.25.4.5426
Player Version#: All Current (Web, Roku, FireTV)

I’ve noticed recently that multi-episode single-file show episodes are no longer being displayed correctly.

Here’s three, for instance:

The Love Boat/Season 10/The Love Boat - S10E02-03 - The Christmas Cruise.mkv

Joe Millionaire - For Richer or Poorer/Season 01/Joe Millionaire - For Richer or Poorer - S01E01-02 - 2 Joes Are Better Than 1 + Admit It, You’re a Gold Digger!.mkv

The Amazing Race/Season 33/The Amazing Race - S33E01-02 - We’re Back! + It Can’t Be That Easy.mkv

There’s others, of course.

But in all cases, please shows Episode 1, then Episode 3. It acts as if there’s no episode 2 in all cases.:

I’ve sometimes avoided viewing a new season, waiting for episode 2 to be downloaded, before realizing it was there, it was just Plex not showing it in the Season list.

Also, can we discuss Plex’s behavior when watching a multi-part episode? In the past, it would play the multi-part episode (1, 2) and then would go on to Episode 2, and again play the multi-part episode again. Can a change be made so that Plex recognizes that 1 and 2 were watched when you complete one of these multi-episode single file episodes?

You’re missing the E from your naming.

S00E01-E02

Fix the file name and everything will work as you want it to.

‘The Amazing Race - S33E01-E02 - We’’‘re Back! + It Can’’‘t Be That Easy.mkv’

Thanks for the suggestion.

That apparently is the default naming behavior of Sonarr:

Shows1

But I chose the option Scene and it seems to be correct now:

Shows2

Now, about that viewing behavior, of Plex showing Episode 2 when you’ve already watched it as part of the two-part EpisodeE01-E02. I believe it’s still doing that. Anyone confirm?

Fixed some time back.
