Multiple languages on one file

Hello there, I’m having difficulty with the different audio languages for shows. Specifically, I’m working on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. I wanted to have both the English and the Japanese version to watch; I have files containing all of the available languages on the Blu-ray, which I did check through Media Player Classic. Unforatnely Plex only shows the English version; what would be the best way of going about this?

Something to note here, I don’t know which versions would be for server or player, but I can assure you that I am on the latest version as of this writing.

Plex has no known issues to present more than one audio stream for selection (if they are in the file).

What Plex does not support, is having more than one video stream within the same file.

Alright after hearing your comment and checking the file on Plex I realized that my video file took out the Japanese version when going through Handbrake. Do you happen to know if there was something I had to click in order to keep the other audio and subtitle tracks?

Handbrake has some preferences, which you can change so it does include all audio streams of a few (or even all) languages by default.

You’ll have to save these selections as a new, custom Preset or they’ll be reverted on next start of Handbrake.

Otherwise you’d need to ‘Add Track’ on the “Audio” tab

You could also use mkvtoolnix to merge the transcoded video with the audio streams from the (raw rip) source file. It’s certainly faster than re-encoding the video.
