In previous versions of PLEX, it would tell you for any given movie if there were multiple versions (a small number in the top corner of the movie poster). That seems to be gone now (I don’t know when it was removed).
Since that feature is no longer available, how do you know if a movie has more than one version available other than opening each individual movie and looking for either the SPLIT option or Play Version?
At the moment, I think you can only do this via the web browser by filtering to “Duplicates.”
Someone somewhere said they were going to bring the number back.
It disappeared in March/April 2021. Unknown if it will return.
If you need the capability to help with server admin, use Plex Media Player in desktop mode (versus TV mode). PMP was last updated in May 2020, and is old enough to still show the duplicates badge.
PMP is missing any new features added since May 2020 and any bug fixes. If you need a Windows/Mac client, use Plex for Win/Mac or Plex HTPC.
I don’t see a filter for “Duplicates” when I log in via the web. Hopefully they will bring back something that indicates if there are multiple versions
Yeah…this is the only way right now to quickly see things…but it is a huge pain when going through 2300 movies to see if any need to be split apart after having to rebuild my server.
