Multiple TV Episodes Mark as Played/Unplayed

I wouldn’t know how to search for this topic, so I do apologize if it’s been posted before, but here goes…

When I list my TV show library by episode and filtered by “In Progress” I see numerous episodes that are effectively completely watched. When I select multiple episodes and click on the option at the top “Mark as Unwatched” the resulting pop-up dialog box says “Are you sure you want to mark these # items as played?”.

So, am I marking them as played or unplayed? Minor conflict in terms so it’s probably a typo somewhere. Could someone add this to the glitch list to be fixed in a future release? Thank you everyone!

If it’s android, there is(/was?) a bug where you could completely watch an episode and continue on, but the server does not mark it as complete. With a few seconds to go in the episode, it is “technically” unfinished. Only once the progress bar under the in-progress show vanishes completely and it shows a green checkmark will it be truly “played”. Until then, the “Mark as played/unplayed?” button will only show one setting, which will be to mark it as played, which will then place the green checkmark. After you do this, you may select the button again to toggle it as “unplayed”, if that is your wish.

I haven’t seen the bug happen myself lately, so I thought it was gone. But your mention of an episode as “effectively completely watched” sounds like it is rearing its head again.

Server version: 1.32.6.7468
Player version: version 1.78.2.3975-c5bd0cbb
Windows version: 10
Please see the attached screenshot from the resulting dialog box which pops up when I’m selecting multiple TV episodes which happen to be In Progress. When I click on the checkmark button at the top of the screen which has a hover description of Mark as Unwatched, the dialog box that pops up is titled Mark as Unwatched, but the text within the dialog box asks “Are you sure you want to mark these 5 items as played?”

This seems like a typo, which happens, but I don’t know if I’m marking the episodes as Unwatched or Played. Obviously I can do some detective work, and will, but if this is a simple typo, it would be nice if it could be fixed.
And my apologies for not properly tagging the topic, I didn’t know what to do or how to do it at the time. I’m going to try to fix it right now. Thanks in advance for any constructive advice.

Appears to be a bug.

I suspect it’s going to still function with the correct behavior by marking your episodes as “unwatched/unplayed” despite the incorrect description
