That is not what should normally happen. So start by checking whether or not you have prefer local metadata checked in your library or not. If you have it checked leave it like that, and than next, check your tags to make sure your album artist and album name are the same like tom80H said. If tags are good and all is tagged properly, you could try a plex dance. If still not corrected than you can select the individual items and merge them.
