Adding some new music, all tagged correctly in meta data, albums are identical and year etc. Outcome is Plexamp shows each song under “Album”
Also I have “prefer local metadata” set
It looks like you missed setting an album artist. Without that information, Pkex has no means to know the different songs belong to the same release.
Consider there’s dozens of „Greatest Hits“ albums… the name alone doesn’t establish they’re all the same albums. For that, Plex needs the combination of album title and album artist.
Thanks @tom80H you are correct so I set it and it made no change (refreshed metadata).
So I looked at other stuff, take this one for example, doesn’t show up under “Fast Car” or “Jonas Blue”
Sits there scanning for a long time which is the folder of the above music folder
I’m not sure Plex will rescan the file for changes to the embedded metadata.
Are you able to get it to show the correct information after doing a full Plex Dance (see procedure outlined behind the link)?
