Music Artists have been corrupted

I have a strange issue, I noticed that alot of my music files have corrupted metadata in Plex mainly the artist is incorrect for example John Williams shows as the artist on HALO 2 Volume 2 Terminator 2 etc none of which he was the composer for.

I have tried the fix match, refresh metadata and analyse options none work.
I checked the files and the artist tags are set correctly.

I created a test library and the metadata was correct in that. So it seems that the existing library has become corrupted.

Is there a way to fix this without creating a new library and then having to create all my collections and playlists again?
