Music changes

Hi All,

I know i’m probably going to be vague here, but it should inspire you to be more creative!

Music just feels so…blah. It’s boring. It’s not that easy to navigate. I feel like I have to click, or tap down so much to get to play the songs.

Again I know that is just general. I’m not a “creative” person, I just know what I like or accept i guess, so its hard to make too many suggestions on this.

  1. Its got. a weird navigation, the music is all the way at the bottom.
  2. The artist information is good to have but a lot of times its too long and just kind of in the way.
  3. The pictures for the artist at the top level is kind of dark. This may be me having to test the different match options and all.

I just thought maybe this well help bring some updates to the look and feel of music.

Ultimately I am moving all my content to plex so its in one easy place. But the feel for music right now will probably keep me holding off temporarily until it gets a little less hard to navigate and plain.

Have you tried Plexamp?

I haven’t actually. It looks great. But what I like about plex is everything is in one app. I’d love for this to somehow have the look and feel built into the plex innate app.

But I’ll definitely try it.

PlexAmp is more or less the acknowledgement that the way we like to navigate/organise/play music is very different to the way we navigate to pick a movie to watch. Most competitors have gone the same way - Apple finally pulled video out of iTunes on the desktop, Microsoft still has the old Windows Media Player, but on mobile platforms there are very few apps that combine music and movies in one UI.

I assume Plex could integrate the PlexAmp UI into the regular Plex app, but as a separate app Plex can develop these more independently.
