Music experience is ruined

Which pretty much explains the entire issue with this “request”. I’m fairly certain that the original poster is talking about Roku as what he’s asking for is mostly there now in the iOS app for example.

Runs on laptops - phones - BT to sound system (any good modern one). Works really great in the car

Like I said, it doesn’t run on devices most people have connected to their TVs with sound systems. It doesn’t help with the problems being talked about here with searching.

Plexamp has it’s own set of quirks as well. It also has it’s own advantages, don’t get me wrong.

To be clear I was talking about the Android App which I was using to cast onto a roku player, but it is the Android App that has this god awful search mechanism. PMP allows search by category and seems to be limited to the chosen server. I haven’t tried the roku as its just a “spare” player that is usually controlled via casting

Haven’t been a fan of the PlexAmp app. I typically listen to music from my W7 PC using Plex Media Player connected through an Onkyo 7.1 receiver to my Vizio TV.

I, too, have about 4000 songs on my Plex QNAP NAS in the basement. That is the music I want to search and listen to. I just wish I could keep everything else out (and add songs to currently playing playlists).

You might want to add tags to this post so relevant support techs will see it.

Good point, at the time I was too pissed…and pissed off…to really care I just needed to vent
