I love the PMS/rasplex/plex for android combination for watching movies or TV shows on the TV and using my phone to browse the catalog.
However on the weekend I tried to play some music from a folder.But all I could manage was starting one song and then cycling through other songs by the same artist. Am I just blind/dump or is that normal? For TV series it makes totally sense, but for music it's driving me crazy.
If this is the supposed behavior, can anyone recommend a way/plugin to play playlist (or the content of a folder something similar, I'm absolutely willing to do some prep work)? I guess I could always use raspbmc, but I would really prefer not to switch SD cards between watching movies and listening to music.
If you search forums you will see playlists are top feature request.
Playqueues recently has been implemented to some degree on some clients. However playqueues are not playlists.

Yes, I saw that, I was just very surprised that even playing the content of a folder does not work, which seemed like the most basic play mode too me.

Yes, there is a third-party Plex channel which allows creation of custom playlists which can then be played back in either sequential or scrambled mode (done by randomizing the list order before you start playback).

Unfortunately you may not be able to use this channel with RasPlex right away, as some of the current RasPlex versions have problems with audio-only channels (freeze the program). But it does work perfectly with the current PHT version for PCs (tested by me on Win7), so it's just a matter of time before that channel bug is fixed for RasPlex, and then you can use that playlist channel with RasPlex as well.
