My plex player on PS4 runs relatively well, the only bug I’ve encountered that is a deal breaker is that when playing tracks from the music library, it freezes at random moments and stops playing. The little sound bars next to the track still move but no sound, you have to back out and select a different track to get it playing again. Clearly this is no good if you use Plex to play music back. I have not seen a similar issue with the video playback.
I was hoping the recent update might have fixed it, but I can report that it hasn’t. I think for this reason I will hold off buying a Plex pass until it all functions properly.
I don’t think the same bug occurs if you play back music via a different player, it appears to be specific to the PS4 player. Unfortunately for me I put everything through the PS4 player straight into my 5.1 amp, I don’t want to use another player.
I have a Synology NAS that has all the media on, I don’t think the bug is related to that though.
