One interesting function for music is that, thanks to MusicBrainz, Plex can now automatically sort an Artist by Albums / Singles & Eps / Live Albums and Compilations. The problem is that MusicBrainz is not error-free : to solve this, one way is to correct it on MusicBrainz, but I was wondering if a solution could not be to use the local MediaType TAG ? (for example "CD (Album), CD (Compilation Reissue), etc…); This would allow a proprietary sorting at his convenience

You’re right, i use “discogs” to tag my files, and it seems there is no clear standard and multiple tags is very often used; first value could be used by Plex, in that case it is up to everyone to properly manage the first value. But without any clear standard on how to manage this TAG, my proposal is not yet judicious. For now I will also disable the option, and anyway, i have also the choice to list my music by folders, my files are very well organized.
