Music playback broken on latest kodi addon

Hi,

With latest Kodi version 19 and latest plex for kodi add-on , I can’t play any music from my music libraries. Playback does not start at all. Video libraries are playing fine however

I have the same problem. When selecting a music it shows as 0.00 and nothing happens

Same here , music playback is broken , others works fine.

Same here too. On Kodi 19.1 on my android phone and on CoreELEC. I have posted about this in the kodi forum before finding this.

As a workaround, I’m using Composite (another plex client from the Kodi repo) to play music but to play albums you have to use “play from here”. The official plex addon presents music in a much nicer way. If only it would play it.

Hoping this gets fixed soon, given that it was reported over a month ago.

I’m a bit surprised and disappointed that there’s been no reaction to this from Plex support.

Maybe plex does not want to support plex addon for kodi, but why???

I have the same issue and really waiting for Plex support answer too …
Maybe it’s time for us to let Plex down and go for another addon …

I have the latest official Plex for Kodi Add-on 0.3.4 on Shield TV Pro and music is still broken. Anyone knows which version of Plex for Kodi Add-on was still able to play music?

I am considering installing an earlier version of the add-on manually but can’t seem to find any earlier version. Also I don’t even know if installing a previous version is is even possible.

Grateful for any advice.

U need to go Back to Kodi 18. Here I am using Kodi 18.9. All plex addon for Kodi Leia works and all Plex Addon for Kodi Matrix nope.

I’m not so familiar with Android TV and reverting to an older Kodi sounds a bit tricky for me.
I think I’ll stick to current Kodi 19.1 and hope Plex will solve this music playback issue…

audio playback failes as described above

in the log, I can see PY errormessages

Another longtime Plex user disappointed by the inability to play music in Kodi 19.2 Matrix. Why no acknowledgement of the problem by admins here?

I am using Composite, and it is getting the job done that I need done for now.

kodi is just not on the plex dev‘s focus ….
originally spun off, but not their app for a long time now …
neither is the plugin from them …

you simply cannot expect any support here …
