I totally agree. The addon must have some attention. since i start to use i think it’s amazing solution. very useful. it has more compatibility than the actual plex app. Please, Do some updates for this addont. it deserve it.
Same for me. I get the Plex splash screen and 3 dots in the middle. Left it running overnight, exact same screen next morning. Anyone got a work round, rather than uninstalling Kodi and reloading an earlier version?
Same here, and have read lots of comments in other forums on users reporting the same. Is confirmed the Plex addon on KODI v20 is not working anymore.
So if you guys have not updated to KODI 20 yet you better stay away from that update for now, at least until creators fix the issues emerging after this latest update. There’re still lots of addons (like the Plex addon) “damaged” after updating.
It just gets stuck at the login, so the 3 dots stays forever there, like if there will be some communication problem or authentication issue against the server, so it never logs in.
Can someone from Plex team give some guidance? What should we do? Plex for Kodi is the only way to get ASS subtitles to work Direct Play, so it’s pretty important.
I really wish the main Plex client would support ASS subs properly so we wouldn’t need Plex for Kodi anymore…
I’m going to add my input on this one. My Matricom G-Box did an auto update yesterday to Kodi 20. Like those before, when attempting to start the Plex add-on in Kodi, I see the Plex flash screen and three dots and it goes no further. I much prefer the Plex-for-Kodi add-on over the Plex Android app. With Plex-for-Kodi, I have the ability to see what has been recently added across the entire library as opposed to having to go into each category itself as well I have “actors” for the videos that I have added locally and their photos show up in the Plex-for-Kodi add-on but are only blank circles in the Plex Android app. The Plex-for-Kodi add-on also has better perfomance that the Plex Android app as I find the Plex Android app interface slower in responding.
Given that it has been a couple of months now since this appears to have first been reported, when can we expect an update for this great add-on??
