Whats the latest with this? Up until recently, I was able to listen to my music library via Plex app on Apple TV. Now, the music files show thet aye playing but no sound?? Meanwhile, the movies via Plex app still play fine as do all other apps / channels. Lastly, My Rokus do not have this issue, only the 4K Apple tv.
Has anyone found a work around to this or same issue?

What kind of music files? Can you post the XML of a music file that is not playing?

Currently, I have a separate hard drive that hosts the movies (no issues) while the pictures (also no issues) and music files stream from my itunes library and imac. This has to be something apple -related I am thinking since the same files play just fine via Roku / Plex and had played fine via Apple tv / Plex up until a few weeks ago

A couple of more things:
Can you post the version of Plex media server you have installed? And also the version of the Plex app installed on your Apple TV?
And then do the following to gather logs during playback of a music file:
- ensure that debug logs are ON, verbose is OFF

Plex Web > settings > general
- stop the plex server
- start the plex server
- wait ~60 seconds
- start playing a music file
- Wait ~60 Seconds
- dowsnload the zip file of the PMS logs
- drag / drop the zip file in a post
The problem “corrected” itself once I rebooted the server by logging in and out. There was also an uninstalled apple update that may have affected the problem.
