Does anyone else play music on the flex Apple TV app? It just doesn’t work for me. I have to airplay from my phone to get it to play for more than two songs. I’ve asked this before and not got an answer so I assume it’s only me or no one knows why.
On what version of tvOS and Plex for Apple TV do you experience this?
Works as expected on my system (tvOS 14.5, Plex for Apple TV 7.17).

„The latest“ is not a very helpful information… people run the latest Betas of iOS/tvOS and Plex, sometimes the latest version will only be available after some time… therefore, knowing the actual versions is important.

I’ve kept my Apple TV running this morning and let it play some music — so far they’ve been playing without interruption.
I’m running tvOS 14.6 on a „classic“ Apple TV 4K w/ Plex for tvOS 7.19 (Test Flight… though I also didn’t notice any issues w/ 7.18)
I’m replying to keep in the loop. I get the same thing on a Fire Stick hardwired to the home network. It’s been happening consistently for a month (wasn’t using Plex for music before), except for right now while I’m watching the logs and it’s going on and on with no problems.
I’ve given up on it. Although there’s been a recent server update so maybe I’ll try again, but for me at least, it’s never really worked. I default to Plexamp on the computer instead. That always works well.
I noticed playing music through the Plex app on Apple TV locks Plex where inputs are ignored and I need to force close the app. It might be associated with the screen saver. I had verbose logging on and attached them here.

I’m having the same problem with Android TV.
I just started a new topic yesterday because on ATV if you play music and try to skip to the next song, the entire Plex app crashes/hangs and the only thing you can do is quit Plex, wait for it to actually quit (it keeps playing music until it’s fully quit) and then you can load it back up and watch movies/shows just fine.
Music is completely broken, which is pretty strange considering their latest Plexcerpts talking about the big advancements they are making with Plex music. Does anyone test this stuff before it is released? I broke it in about 2 minutes by just trying to go to the next track.
It’s still broken for me on the apple TV. Plexamp works though. I’ve given up on it every working properly on the apple TV
Same problem for me. AppleTV 4k client hangs and needs force closed after the song starts playing. All other clients work. My theory is that its an issue with the uncompressed aiff audio file that make yp the majority of my music. I might change the transcoder settings on the server. I’d love to be able to play uncompressed music at home. Any help?
I think you might be on to something there with the aiff theory. I’ve given up on it. It just doesn’t work.
