Music Playlist Song Image

First I have read the forums and I have not found a solution to this problem. I am trying to create a music playlist but every song no matter the title or artist uses the same poster. When I say poster I am talking about the image that appears with the music. I tried editing it. I added a new poster for the playlist but all the songs have the same old poster. I created another playlist without that song but it didn’t make a difference. I tried just playing from a folder and not a playlist but had the same issue. Is there a way to change the poster on mutiple songs at once? I know this is probably my mistake but I am open to any suggestions how to fix it. Thank you!

Let start with what player app are you using.

The web app at least shows the album art from whatever album the current playing track is.

You want it to only show the playlist art while it is playing tracks?

That would be great of it could use the playlist art. I haven’t made any chages to the player app I don’t think. So it is probably whatever is standard but I would be happy to look.

Thank you!

I’m not clear on what the issue is.

Which of the many players we make are you using? I want to see if i see whatever it is you are seeing so I can understand whatever the problem is you are trying to describe,

I use Plex on my Firestick. I don’t think that is the answer you are looking for but I if you tell me where to look I will be happy to give you a better answer.

There is no “song art” on Plex.
Plex only knows “album art”, i.e. all songs of a particular album share their art.

This is folder view. Every song has the same album art.

Is there a way to change that? Thamk you

No. As @OttoKerner mentioned above there is no song/track art in Plex. Tracks all share the album art

Any suggestions?

It appears you’ve just added a bunch of tracks to a single folder and they’re not even properly matched. If Plex finds some embedded (or local) artwork from the 1st tracks, it’ll use that for all your songs (even if they nominally belong to different albums).

Would you mind sharing how your songs are currently organized and what folder from that structure is being linked to your library?

Everything you said is correct. I made a mix of different tracks and put into a folder. Is there a way to change where Plex pulls the information? If not can I make it so there is no image at all? Could I make a, playlist and use a image from the playlist that will show up for all the songs? Structure MY Music, Then folders for each artist and also folders for mixes. Example car mix.

I am open to any ideas.

Thank you.

See the link in my post above.
Even if you don’t want to use Plex’s online metadata, you’ll need to maintain a some basic structure for your files for Plex to properly recognize them (e.g. in order to rely on embedded metadata). Plex isn’t a file browser.

I did read the article. So I understand there is no way I can delete that image or swap it with another? Thank you

There is no such thing as track/song art in Plex

When track files are in a same folder Plex considers them to be of the same album. If you put a bunch of unrelated track files in the same folder then it will take the artwork embedded in the first track it finds and set that as the album art and it will show that for all tracks.

You seem to be ignoring everything it says

You should have a folder called Music or whatever
In that folder should be folders for each artist with the artist or band name like Eminem
In each artist folder should be a folder for each album that artist has, like 8 Mile Soundtrack
inside each album folder should be the tracks/songs from that album

To create a playlist in Plex you pick something in the interface and tell it to “add to playlist”, not move the files around into a folder.

I am using the web app in browser here

The playlist itself can have it own art but the individual tracks, just like when viewed elsewhere will use the artwork from their album

Thank you for your detailed response.
