I have sought answers to this in the forums and online, so if this is something simple I’ve missed then apologies.
Straightforward question - where are the music playlists located in the PMS main directory, and in what format do these need to be in order for me to import and edit them?
Background - I recently moved my server from one PC to another. I followed the instructions, but managed to kill my collection of about 25 audio playlists in the process. I do have these still in individual XML files and I have edited them to point to the new location of the audio files themselves. For some reason, I had thought I’d successfully done this before - but I can’t find the exact location the playlist data files should live in. I notice that many have mentioned the PMS server folder in ‘local app data’ in the main drive and then either the data or databases folders in ‘plug-in support’ thereafter. I did experiment with putting them into both these locations to see if the playlists reappeared but no luck. Do I need a more precise location?
The other thing is - currently these are in XML. I’m aware that there is a Postman script to import M3U playlist files into Plex - but is it definite that I can’t install XML playlists? I could see about converting them to M3U and then trying Postman, but I’m pretty sure I managed this before with XML files (unless I’m having a senior moment and it was actually Emby!
