Music playlists stops when setting photo playlist repeat

I start a music playlist, set it to repeat and it becomes background music for a photo slideshow (via a playlist). In the past, after the music was on I would start the photo play list and navigate to settings and set it up to repeat. The photo play list would the pause (but music would still be playing) and then I’d click play to have a photo album displayed with background music.

Now, after setting the photo playlist to repeat, the photo and music play lists are both paused and clicking play starts the photo playlist but the music remains paused.

This issue presents on my smart tv and the windows desktop app.

What a great setup, a music playlist and photo playlist both working at the same time. Instead of trying to debug it at the moment, I wonder if Plexamp could provide the audio while Plex displays your photos.
