My most common use of Plex for years is to start a Music playlist, then a Photo playlist, so I would have musical slideshow running while I go about my business.
Now, when I start the Photo playlist, the audio stops. But when I stop the Photo playlist, I can see that the Music playlist is still playing, but there is no audio. Audio does not resume when I stop the Photo playlist.
Steps:
- Start a Music playlist.
- Start a Photo playlist.
- Stop Photo playlist.
- Click ‘Now playing’ icon to open running playlist.
- Click ‘Stop’ on player control.
When I stop the Photo playlist (step 3), I can see the ‘Now playing’ icon is still present at the top right.
When I go to the ‘Now Playing’ indicator at the top right corner to open the Music playlist (step 4), the current track is playing, but no audio. The progress bar for the track is progressing as if it is playing.
When I bring up the player controls and hit ‘Stop,’ (step 5), the progress bar stops, but the rest of the UI thinks it is still playing. The ‘Now playing’ indicator is still present at top right, and the player controls still come up when I press ‘down’ on the remote. But none of the player controls function. In the play queue below the player controls, the track that was playing when I tried to stop it still has the player activity icon 
, but the progress bar is not active.
At this point I can repeatedly try any of the Music Player controls, but none of them do anything.
I can navigate to other libraries, or start playing something else, and it will play normally, with audio. But the above steps always reproduce this behavior.
