Music Searches: Plex web portal does not take you to selected track

When searching for a music track using the Plex server web page/portal on my PC, if you select a search result it does not take you directly to the track, but instead to the album that contains the track. So you then have to manually search through the album to find the desired track.

On the Plex android app, selecting from search results does take you directly to the track as expected and not just the album.

Is this inconsistency intentional or a minor bug please?

Plex Web is mainly used for managing PMS and has playback ability. The mobile app’s main goal is for media playback. In the app, it plays back the track since there’s not much else to do with that track. In Web, it goes to the album so you can manage it. There is the … option to the right of the results that has the choice to start playing the file if you want.
