Is there an option to fill in contributing artists for music? I end up filling in the artists name next to the band name. This is extremely important for Jazz bands.
Unfortunately not possible.
All you can do is selecting a common ‘Album Artist’, which you assign to all tracks of an album.
Then you put in all contributing artists of one particular track into the ‘Artist’/‘Track Artist’ meta tag of this track.
That way you will at least see them all during playback.

Thanks for the reply. What I just started to do is add the artists to the album sort order field, which is generally hidden from view, and does not interfere with the automatic metadata gathering. My main concern is the search for artists, not so much the visibility, so this works for me.
For example
Artist: Charged
Sort Arist: Charged (Eraldo Bernocchi, Toshinori Kondo, Bill Laswell, Hamid Drake, DJ Disk and Aiyb Dieng)
