Windows Server Version#: 1.18.7.2438
Player Version#: Roku Plex App 6.4.10.6174
Roku 4640x - Roku Ultra
Roku Software Version: 9.3.0 build 4038-29
I had been able to go into my music folders and use the shuffle function to randomly play music in the specific folders. Recently, whenever I run shuffle, it plays one song, shows the next song in the queue but then stops and shows the error message below:
We’re unable to play this tack, make sure the server is running and has access to this track.
I am playing the music on my Roku player.
Is anyone else having the issue and is there a resolution?
Any help would be appreciated.
Just retested with Windows Server Version 1.18.7.2457 and still have the same issue.
I’m having a different issue with shuffle (perhaps related):
It won’t shuffle.
Whatever it lands on (Artist) it just plays that guy unless you force it forward a few times (more than a few, sometimes) until you see it’s actually random in it’s selection. ‘The First Song in each Folder’ sounds about right. Forcing it forward seems to ‘wake it up’ (eventually) so it can do it’s job.
I have been struggling with the play one audio track then stop problem. Solved it: Win 10 using the Plex app on web browser to play audio.-- chrome is my default browser and it had the problems. instead i started Windows Edge browser and started the app there – works fine, shuffle, everything works. some glitch re chrome.
I had been using Edge the entire time. tHat was not an issue for me. It was playing the songs on another device. I ended up blowing away the Music directory and rebuilding from scratch. That fixed it but I am unsure why and if this problem will eventually reappear.
