Hi, wondered if someone could help with this - recently installed Plex Server, had a few teething issues but all working fine now. However, playing any music stops after the 21st song - this is whether it is a playlist, an artist or an album and whether starting the queue from the web app or the Android app. This is the same for local music or music from Tidal. If you play an artist for example, it would say there is a queue of say 77, but only show 21 songs.
It would seem that after searching, this is a known issue and it looks like it was supposedly sorted in 4.60.2 - perhaps that was only for movies/tv, but it doesn’t seem to fixed for music (where I would have thought more people would want a decent length queue)
This seems to be an issue only when casting - not sure if it is the same to other products, I’m only casting to a Sonos speaker. If playing on my PC speaker, the queue still only shows 21 songs, but it refreshes as you get to the end of the queue - something it doesn’t do when casting.
Can you provide the Sonos speaker model? What browser? Android device?
I recently played a 42 track play queue on Web (Chrome) to a Sonos Play:1 without issue. I regularly use the Plexamp desktop app (Windows) to cast to my Sonos too, without issue. There have been reports with play queues stopping, so any further details you can provide would be helpful.
Many thanks for your reply - to answer your questions; the speaker is a Sonos One, browser Chrome and a Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android 13
However, I’ve just been testing, as I have a Sonos Beam and a second Sone One and playing to them individually seems fine and now with the two “Ones” grouped (which is how I was playing before) also seems fine - it gets to the bottom of the queue (of 21) and loads a further 21 songs.
I’ll continue to test over the next few days and report back.
Hi Bengeorge, thanks for your reply - to answer your question it was mostly Plex web, but sometimes the android app. However, I’ve been testing for the past few days and all seems to be fine now - no idea what I have done differently, but the list of songs refreshes itself and I haven;t had the problem since last week.
