Music: Various Artists albums not appearing under each track artist's album list

Hi all,

apologies if this exact issue has been answered - I did some searching to no avail.

I have some Various Artists albums in my library. Let’s take “Pleasantville OST” as an example. The album correctly appears under the artist “Various Artists”. This album, as is all of my music, tagged with metadata from MusicBrainz.

Fiona Apple is the track artist of the first track.

Note that I can’t click on her name in the graphic shown above.
Additionally, I have a few albums by Ms. Apple, and they show up nicely when I search and choose her from a list of artists:

Nice (if you ignore the doubling up of “bootleg”). Anyway, is there a way for me to see all of the albums to which she contributed (such as Pleasantville)?

PS. the directory structure, for what it’s worth, is:

Various Artists/1998 Pleasantville_ Music From the Motion Picture/
  01 Fiona Apple - Across the Universe.flac
  ...

Fiona Apple/
  1996 Tidal/
    01 Sleep to Dream.flac
    ...

Unfortunately not. Plex currently only looks at “Album Artist”, which is “Various Artists” for most sampler and sound track albums.

Worth raising a feature request for? Sounds like a non-trivial schema change.

Not really. This is a well-known issue and it is said that it will be adressed in the future.

(And I’m sure there are already dozens of existing requests pertaining this.)
