What i don’t understand is, if you can add music videos into a album and they show up correctly, why cant you just let us have music videos with out albums. I have music videos working but only if i have mp3 music.
Not sure if I understand your question, but in my case I have several DVD’s with concerts, ripped them, and created a separate library (type Movies) to put them. After the rip (or during the rip) I’ve edited the chapter names to include music names (instead of chapter 1, 2, 3, etc). Plex collects the metadata and I can navigate through chapters.
I understand the question. I do not have an answer. It would be nice if Plex engineers could incorporate a new Music Video category to go along with TV Shows, Music, Movies, and Other Videos. It makes sense. Currently, the assumption is if you have music videos than you MUST have full albums or at least some audio tracks of that same artist as well. Frequently not the case. I’m not a software engineer so I can’t pretend to know the level of resources needed to do this. But it would be nice.
Create a Movie library, and point it to the folder(s) where your music videos are stored. They won’t be organized by artist, however.
