No, because there’s no decoder in upstream ffmpeg for MVC.

However, they seem to be working on this in the libav fork, in the meantime you could decode into side by side format.
IMHO 3D had its day and is now being dumped by most major TV manufacturers, a lot of hype about nothing, even SkyTV is shutting down its 3D channel.

I was under the impression that the Rpi has a built in hardware MVC decoder. I believe this is what Kodi uses for 3D bluray ISOs and 3D MVC MKVs.

God, I’m sorry, didn’t notice that I was replying to a post in the Rasplex subforum.
I am not knowledgeable enough to be giving sure enough advice. Ned however will know more.
(but I think the RPi has gotten some love in this department yes)
any chance rasplex will acquire 3d mvc same as openelec does?
